Q: I have Windows XP and the game will not play.

Q: Video clips are getting stuck on screen or missing?

Q: I have Windows XP and the game will not play.

A: To solve the problem you need to change the compatibility mode of the GuessWho.exe file in Windows XP.

To change the Compatibility mode for Windows XP:

Go to C:\Program Files\Hasbro Interactive\Guess Who in Windows Explorer (or the directory you installed the game to)
Right click on the file: GuessWho.exe, and go to properties
Then click on the compatibility tab
Here you will see a Compatibility mode section, click on the small white box
You will now be able to change the compatibility mode, change it to Windows 95
Now click apply then OK and start the game as usual

Q: Video clips are getting stuck on screen or missing?

A: This usually means the correct video codecs are missing from Windows, please install the latest version of Windows Media Player and Media Codecs from the Microsoft Update website and this should fix the issue.

Troubleshooting

Guess Who requires your computer's screen resolution to be set to 800 X 600 with 16-bit colour resolution. Guess Who should automatically change your desktop settings for you, but if you experience any graphical problems or have trouble running the game at all, try switching your computer to these settings manually.
