Q: Tomb Raider IV won't run under Vista. A: Run the Program Compatibility Wizard in Windows Vista by doing the following:
If this fails to work, try again and go through all the compatibility modes. Q: Lara will not exit the jeep or my "end" key is not working so she can't exit the vehicle. A: Make sure that the vehicle is completely stopped. Hold down your jump key and press the left or right arrow key. This also applies to the motorcycle. ***There was a misprint in the manual and this was noted in the Readme.
Q: Lara will not pull herself up into crawl spaces. A: Lara should look like she is hanging just with her arms. She should not look like she is stradling a ladder with her legs. If she is, then move her all the way left or right of the ladder or ledge. Release the hold key and press it again quickly. If performed correctly, she should now look like she is only hanging by her arms. At this point she should be able to pull up into the crawl spaces.
Q: After inserting the 4 Tridents in Temple of Poseidon the water does not activate to fill up the centre pool. A: Either save and reload the game or go back to the 4th Trident room and then go back to the water. Either of these should solve the problem.

Troubleshooting
Known Issues With Specific Video Cards Q. The game crashes with a DirectX error. A. This problem occurs when you have a a Voodoo Graphic, Voodoo 2 or Voodoo 3 card installed on your computer and you turn on "Windowed" in the Setup program or Press ALT+Enter whilst playing the game. The solution is not to run the game in Windowed mode. Addtionally, if you turn on "Bump Mapping" in the Setup of Tomb Raider, program the game will crash as these cards do not support bump mapped graphics. Riva 128/128ZX Chips These video cards do not support "Bump mapped" graphics. If you notice that many of the textured surfaces appear faded, please re-run setup and do not selected the "Bump mapping" option. ATI Rage Pro If you enable "Volumetric F/X" in Setup, you will see what appears as dense haze when in brightly lit areas. S3 Savage 4 A. The solution requires that you download Windows95/98 display drivers for Savage4 Version 8.10.21 or higher. This driver can be located at the S3 Graphics website. After you have successfully installed these drivers, the game should function as designed. Known Video Crashes A. We have not been able to discover the cause of this problem. However we have a workaround that you can use, until we can solve this problem. Run the "setup" program from your Start Menu, or the "splash" screen that pops up when you insert the game disk in the CD-ROM drive. In the "Graphics Options", insure that "bump-mapped graphics" is checked and click "OK". The game will start. Load your saved game. After the full motion animation sequence plays the load screen should appear. You should then see a "fly-by" of the train ending with Lara in the last boxcar of the train. Please save the game as soon as you are able. If you do not save and Lara dies, you will not be able to load the game successfully until your restart. In order for you to play the game, you must have DirectX 6.1-compliant drivers for your video card. Please note that although DirectX 6.1 is installed with the game, your video card drivers will not be upgraded to DirectX 6.1 drivers. You will need to obtain the latest compliant drivers from your card manufacturer.

Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation supports all 100% Direct3D compliant graphic cards. This means that Tomb Raider will run on every 3D accelerator card, providing that you have installed DirectX 6.1, and you have installed drivers for your 3D card which support all of the features of DirectX 6.1 required by Tomb Raider. Graphics card manufacturers constantly update their drivers. If you are running the game on a 3D accelerator card, make sure you have the latest drivers available for your card. See our Hardware Support Links Section for a list of web sites where you will be able to obtain the latest drivers for your graphics card. There are many 3D accelerator cards available on the market, and they all will perform differently under the same conditions, depending on the chipset, amount of video memory, and drivers installed. The key to getting the best performance out of your graphics card is to set the card to a higher resolution, while maintaining a good frame rate with no texture loss. Many accelerator cards will run Tomb Raider very efficiently at 640x480 resolution in High Color. If you notice texture drop out - white blank spots on menu text, objects, terrain and characters including Lara, you will need to lower the graphics resolution. The card has run out of texture memory. The graphics resolution can be changed in the setup window or by pressing ALT+ "+" Key on the numeric keypad while playing the game. Caution: If you exceed the maxiumum resolution that your video card can handle, the game will crash! If you are experiencing very low frame rates, you may want to lower the screen resolution. You can reduce the resolution by pressing ALT and minus on the numeric keypad. On some 3D cards, seaming may occur, drawing borders around polygons. This is most apparent when looking at the sky, which will have a tiled look to it. Turning off bi-linear filtering may help to fix this problem. If you are receiving any errors when running the game, such as runtime C++ error, or cannot find dinput.dll, reinstall DirectX 6.1. DirectX 6.1 can be installed directly from the Tomb Raider CD by running the dxsetup.exe program from the directx directory. If you continue to have problems, please contact your hardware manufacturer. In order for you to play the game, you must have DirectX 6.1-compliant drivers for your sound card. Please note that although DirectX 6.1 is installed with the game, sound card drivers will not be upgraded to DirectX 6.1 drivers. Driver files are often obtainable via the web sites of their manufacturers, many of which are linked at our Hardware Support Links Section. Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation will not run if you do not have a sound card or on-board sound chip installed. Although you will be able to install the game, you will not be able to run it. We recommend getting a sound card to fully enjoy the experience that is, Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation
