Gangsters can be played on Mplayer. For details of how to set this up, please refer to the MplayerReadme file in the Gangsters folder.
To use a SCENARIO with a MULTIPLAYER game, the HOST is the only player who must select the scenario. To do this;
# Click on GAME OPTIONS.
This will take you to the GAME OPTIONS SCREEN.
# In the GAME OPTIONS SCREEN, click on SCENARIOS.
This will take you to the available Multiplayer scenarios.
# Click on the name of a scenario, then click on LOAD SCENARIO.
This will take you back to the GAME OPTIONS SCREEN.
# Click on OK.
This will return you to the MULTIPLAYER SCREEN.
# Click on CREATE GAME.
The details of the selected scenario will be sent from
the host to each client.
# All client players should then click on JOIN GAME.
# All players must then click on START GAME to begin playing.
Multiplayer games cannot be played between game versions from different territories.
If you have text in the SESSION NAME box, Gangsters assumes that you are going to set up a new game, and no other sessions will be available.
To load a game over the INTERNET, all parties must have a static IP address.
The TAB key can be used to close chat windows.
Accelerated Time is available in multiplayer games. The arrival of a message for any player will slow the clock to normal speed. Time can only be accelerated using the < and > keys.
